Hey guys...something very interesting happened two days ago, March 24th. It was Houdini's birthday, Google had a Houdini Doodle that was interactive and somewhere along the way people became interested again in Kristen's Water Torture Cell video. Most of it being her NBA halftime incident. We average right around a 1,000 views per day on our Youtube channel. March 24th, it spiked to 121,000 in one 24 hour period, with 104,000 of that number representing the halftime incident. is my question. What should we do to best take advantage of these numbers, from average daily numbers(1000), to spikes that we get from fans at recent shows(those usually spike to around 4,000), and from a huge spike like we have had 4 times now that each hit over 100,000 a day? I would guess to embed links and make annotations. Any additional thoughts, ideas, etc would be appreciated. Anyone currently doing this themselves? I'll work on implementing these ideas and report back.

I'd suggest you make certain to get out press releases to every media outlet available. That large a spike is newsworthy especially when tied to the event. The press should generate even more hits to drive the numbers higher, and can create an interest that will lead to viral blogging of the video. Youtube drove Dunham's career into the stratosphere and he didn't even post the video.
