Can anyone recommend a good video/you tube performance (not tutorial) of twisting the aces?
Many thanks, Danny |

Spin Dr by John Bannon is a good packet trick based on twisting the aces. Need to know how to do an Elmsley count - that's not on the DVD. Includes bonus of Doc Daily's last trick. Powerful impact. I carry packet with me frequently, but DVD also provided information to do with strait deck - but added kick at end from spin dr is very nice.

Michael Ammar teaches Vernon's original handling of the routine on one of the Easy to Master Card Miracles DVDs available thru http://www.ammarmagic.com or pretty much any magic retailer.
I second Bannon's Sping Dr and also recommend The Asher Twist by Lee Asher.

Wayne Houchin teaches this trick on his Art of Magic DVD, I think there should full preview of it somewhere on youtube, I only managed to find this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYvWQ4hNPmY - there's only part of it there, among other tricks.

Thanks folks,
I think I'll get the art of magic, the reviews are excellent, and if the presntation is one that suits me I guess I'll stick with that. Thank you again, Danny |

Djurmann,
I've been doing *Twisting the Aces* quite a bit recently, so, inspired by your post, I thought I'd make a video. You can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt4Yk2xn6mI I've substituted my patter -- which basically just follows the Ganson with a few variations -- with a bit of music. In any case, I hope you enjoy it. As always, I'd appreciate any pointers! Thanks, Jason

Really liked that, Jason! Especially with your deeper hold for the Elsmley Count. You were very smooth. Good job! Very inspiring.

Here is my "twisting" routine. It is based on a Nick Trost effect called Maxi Twisto. I took the basic effect and changed the method almost entirely in order to get a more magical effect.

Love the ending! Still wondering how you did it

I am thinking about having it marketed. The method is totally different from the original Trost routine, and the routine (imo) is more magical.

I've always liked Bannons work on Twisting the Aces (combined with Dr. Daly's trick) in Dear Mr. Fantasy.
It's not revolutionary, but it's nice to see the thought put into it, and the blend with Dr. Daly's Last Trick. |
