I've been watching some performances from the 70's and 80's and there is one silk effect that was being done by quite a few of them. They pull out a largish silk, then another silk appears tied to the other end. He removes the extra silk which is then followed by yet another silk appearing tied to the other end again ... and so it goes.
Not mind-blowing magic but it'd fit perfectly with my stage character. Does anybody know what it's called? |

I think you may be referring to Snap Silks.

Duane has a version hat uses Velcro rather than knotting the silks together

I can't recommend silk and Velcro together unless you have an inexhaustible supply of silk. (Dealers get a great deal!)
Lucy performs this and uses rubber bands. (Besides, when this trick was introduced, Velcro didn't exists!) Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

I am going to second Bob's remarks concerning velcro and silk. They do not mix.
Check out the thread on this as there is a lot of good information that has been posted previously. Richard
