I've been reading everything you guys have been posting here for about 2 years now. I have a magic and illusion show I perform on a part time basis. I've been kicking around the idea of pitching something on occasion. On occasion we sell color books or a ball vase trick after our show, so that's about the only experiance I've had selling anything.
So my question is what to start with. I go to a lot of events around my area and I don't remember ever seeing anyone pitching things such as Svengali decks, squirmels, splat balls or the like. I'm guessing the wise choice is to order one of Don's dvd's right ? The main thing I'm after is to have fun and to make a little extra money. What ever I sell I want it to be something that won't break 5 minutes after they get it home.
Thanks much, Bob.

Hi Bob,
I think you are saying you want to pitch more than just in your show right? When you pitch in a show you have a captive audience and its like shooting ducks in a pond.Stan Krmien pitch the magic mouse in his show and made a ton of extra found money doing it.Hes up near you maybe you know him.He would be the man to get advice from. Also go to any traveling circus, they pitch stuff to the kids every two minuties to the point it can even get on a "MARKS" nerve.

If you want to just hit markets of street festival etc.and rent a spot on your own than you'll need my DVD.I don't sell them anymore but you can get one here. http://www.chefanton.com/scoundrelsstore/whats_new.htm scroll down.

I also have a good friend ,Alex, that has two new pitch items that hes wholesaleing now. http://www.mysuperlooper.com/ and I love theses http://i.imgur.com/DhztY.jpg here is a vid of Alex working them at a fair.As you can see it sure draws crowds (TIP) Alex will set you up with everything you need to get started and explan the entire pitch so you wouldn't need my DVD for this either.

Hope this helped and answered your question.

Hi Don.
Yep, your right, I'm thinking about just pitching something on various weekends I'm not performing the magic show. I do know Stan, I've been to almost everyone one of his Jamborees. He has talked several times about the pitch he use to do for the mouse. He is also the one that got my interest sparked with selling the Magic Color books from Graphics 2000. I remember Stan telling everyone at his Jamboree one time that he paid for his new Cadilac from selling the coloring books alone after his show.
Like I mentioned, I'm just thinking about hitting a few events here and there, have fun and make a buck or 2. I will for sure order your DVD,
Thanks much for taking the time to respond.
