A recent incident here inspired this post. Hopefully it shows how easy it is to misinterpret or just lose something in the translation from 1 language to another. Tenyo instructions being the case in point, (excellent quality indeed), but often just makes me lol. The line from The Ninja Experiment, "This trick will fool you unless you know how it is done," cracks me up every time I read it. Anyone else have a line from Tenyo that makes 'em howl.

Boy, you're right - that line is hilarious! Smile

Will need to scan through all my instructions to find some more....I guess the older, the funnier!

Can someone explain to me what is funny in the sentence about ninja experiment ?

Well, it actually means something like:

Ce truc te mystifierait mais seulement si tu ne connais pas le secret....

This statement is kind of illogical, just like saying: you have no clue until you got an idea...! Smile

Got it?

How about, "This trick requires no practice", found on the front of some of the Tenyo packages, when in fact, it takes hours of practice to get it right (looking at you Ribbon Forever and Wonder Window).

Glad you like the Dracula Bank Davy! I would like to mention (you probably figured this out because the sender was a certain F. S. from Germany Smile ) that all of this was Nicolino's idea, so if anyone deserves appreciation it is Nicolino Smile

Actually it was all of you who did not doubt a single moment when I asked for your help!
It's rare to find such an amount of helpfulness in a more or less anonymous field like the internet. So it would not have been possible without your participation and I'm still impressed how easy it was to convince everyone I was asking.

When I saw all the names it gave me a shock ! I found just awesome ! As Nicolino said it's really rare to succeed in doing this kind of thing and I was very surprised. A very nice moment. And I would think every time I would put a coin into the Dracula bank !

Davy,

I think I can speak for all when I say we have all gotten similar smiles using your incredible blog =).

For me personally, it's just a small token of friendship and gratitude.

If I can be of any help to you all, just ask.

Warm regards,

Tom
