Not enough information to respond appropriately. Too many variables. More information please.

It depends on the market in your area but I'm with Nicholas. It sounds OK if it is a Stand-Up show.

Listen to the Dean...he knows this stuff!
It really depends upon where you are in your career, what type of event it is, who the client is, what services you are supplying, and a host of other considerations. If this is for a local non-profit group and you are a part-timer with an okay 60 minute program without any heavy illusions, then it's okay. However, if this is an after dinner program for 100+ people from a major corporation, and you are a full-time pro with a killer 60 minute set, then you are vastly undercharging. Of course, if that describes you, you would not be asking this question. You would know! |

Is this to be an on going affair several times per week or just a "One Shot Deal"?....Locals or Conventioneers? 100 to 4000 people?
I try to figure a "Cost per Person" type of thing for my appearances (Not Magic) but the concept is just the same. If there are over 500 people in attendance than you are making less than $1 each. That's a bargain for them if it's a hard ticket event. Just remember to give them what they paid for. Then everybody is happy! Dave

I agree here with the others. It really is not enough information to really figure out what is appropraieta nd what is not.
We need to know: - Location of the show? - What are you performing in the show? Stage show? Illusions? Kids show? - How long of a total performance? - How many shows in the same location? - Running time for the shows. One time only or for a week a month? - What is your target audience for the show? - Who is the client paying for the show? Non-proft vs. corporate? These are just a few questions you must consider before a price can even be thought out. Include some of this information and we can go from there.
