I've scoured the net but can't seem to locate a WAVE cut folding quarter.
Found PROFILE quarters but no wave cut. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

The Sharini/Wave Cut and the Slydini Cut are basically the same type cut with a very slight variation (if any, based on my observations). I mention this so that you can google: "Slydini Cut Folding Coins" to get a better hit.
Try Sasco Coins (not the greatest quality with complex gimmicked coins but will do for a folding coin) at: http://www.sascomagic.com Also, by default most folding coins will be of the wave-cut type if not listed as such (profile cut, bite cut, bite-out) because a wave cut is earier to machine (running curved cuts) than is a profile cut (angled, hard cuts). Helpful tip: Don't use a profile cut with a Coin-to-Bottle effect --- the sharp, angled edge-cut will possibly catch on the glass surface and break apart. Also, call your favorite magic shop and ask them what type of cut it is -- they should know. Ebay is a great source to search, some of the actual photos show the cuts! If I recall right, all of Roy Kueppers (good quality coins) REGULAR folding coins (not bite-out) are waved-cut with a tight tolerance. Here's his link: http://www.roykueppers.com |
