Hey all!
Anyone know of anyone selling a brown apearing cane? Or better yet one that could be painted? Eventually I'd like it to look like a small cane fishing pole for a one man skit I'm thinking up.. Thanks for your help! |

In my "Flagtastick" I use the silver cane as the flag pole. The only colored canes I know of are the Chinese versions.

If you are thinking of the traditional appearing cane, only the Tendo or knock off Chinese canes are in brown.
But if you want to do like the appearing wands, get a plastic closet pole cover. Of go to the appearing pole. Richard

I would suggest you get the Appearing 8' pole on the market. It comes in wood grain.

I have a 4 foot straw and have seen the poles... Will have to think about how to do the fishing line...
Thank you for the tip! |

Do Tendo canes available in brown? I know they come in a lot of different colors, but I/m not sure about brown.

Actually, the appearing flagpole would look almost exactly like a cane pole. The outer section could be painted, but the other sections, allowed to get that patina that brass does would come real close to the color of bamboo. The size is better than most appearing canes, too. The only down side is it does not collapse as small as a Walsh type cane. Your production method would have to accommodate it.
Check the video to get a real good look at the prop. http://www.abbottmagic.com/Abbotts-Colla......fgia.htm

I see nothing wrong with pulling a fishing pull out of paper bag, attach a line and hook, and make a fish appear on the end. A paper bag fits the OP avatar, anyway. This would fit a skit play type of effect.
