I've been watching 21 Magic by Sweden and I really enjoy the two Ring and Rope techniques that were shown.
I haven't seen any Ring and Rope routines before, other than just straight linking rings or just rope routines. What there any books or DVD's that just have Rope and Ring stuff? Thanks, Cyril |

Aldo Colombini has several items you would like.
"Still Ringing Around" is excellent. http://www.wildcolombini.com/cart/produc......s_id=154

Two of my favorites are:
Daryl Martinez' "Expert Rope Magic Made Easy" 3 volume DVD set on Rope Magic Richard Sanders' "Fiber Optic--Extended" I also have to agree with you. Those two rope moves on the "21" DVD look great (And, as an added bonus, are easy to learn and to do). Mike

I second the Colombini ring and rope books. Mark Leveridge also has a good book on it. Between these two, you can make a great routine.

Oooo, that makes me excited.
@Turk I thought the Fiber-Optics DVD had only rope magic? It has ring material as well? either way, Fiber-optics looks amazing. I'll check out those resources right now! |

Plus it has a lot of other rope moves (without ring use) than appeared on the original "Fiber Optics". Bottom line, "Fiber Optics--Extended" is Professor's Nightmare...on steroids; Daryl's "Expert Rope Magic" includes at least one basic Professor's Nightmare handling (I think) but it has literally a ton of other rope routines and moves. I consider "Fiber Optics--Extended" and Daryl's "Expert Rope Magic" DVD set to be complementary to each other. Hope this helps.

I recently also was looking for some additional DVDs and found Flip's Truly Magical Rope Magic. One of the 5 routines on the DVD is a ring & rope routine with some nice moves. Then, there are also some scripts (including photos) available. One I like is Great Scott's Ring and Rope Routine from Scott F.Guinn which is probably still available via lybrary.com.

Start with L&L's World's Greatest Magic DVD on the Ring and Rope. Seven routines including most of those mentioned above. Proceed from there.

David Williamson has a great R&R routine.
Roland Henning has some knockout stuff up on youtube. It is in German, but he is easy to follow. Flip has some great moves. Fiber optics extended (the second one) has some great R&R moves on it. Daryl's expert rope magic made easy has some great moves also. That should hold you for a couple of years.

J Scott Berry has a ring and rope DVD.
I believe Aldo just came out with a new DVD. Ganson's Art of Close-up Magic books several items.

There is a nice ring and rope routine in the Tabary book (not sure if it's on the 2 dvd set as I don't have that!)

Check out my "Comedy Rope and Ring Routine" in Chapter 3 of Kingdom of the Red. It's also taught on the companion DVD.
