Hi,
I'm an amateur from NC. A former IBM member, been to the Magic Castle, performed at parties. I've been out of magic for about 20 years now and miss this as a hobby so decided to come back. I've been working on my old tricks and learning some new ones. I primarily do coins and money and children's magic, but want to do more with cards. Hello to all! Fred |

Welcome Flight Risk,
You will love Cards. They are versatile, they feel and sound nice and there is always something new with cards. See you in "Little Darlings" and "Paper Money Madness". Mary Mowder |

Personally, I am a general magician (hence my nick name) as I like to offer a variety of different effects as some people will get bored with just the same kind of tricks over and over again. Some magicians choose to specialize in things such as coins or card magic...others prefer to be a general magician such as myself.

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I've been practicing hours a day and just did a small party. I mixed in coins and cards for the adults and coins, TT vanishes and match tricks for the kids. It was fun! I can do a lot with coins, which surprised me after such a long layoff, but as a sort of habit, I have always palmed coins in and out of my pocket. When I'm thinking, I will do edge palms like someone might click a pen or tap their fingers. I do coin rolls too. So I guess that helped. Lately, I've been really working on card skills. My Elmsley and Jordan are really good doing it in both hands from either fingertips or dealers grip, but some of the others... well, they need work

Hey FlightRisk.
Looks like you are doing what I did about 4 years ago. I came back from a long hiatus. Now I am up to my *** in it. Good luck with your return.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.
