Goodmorning everyone,
I have a question, Don Alan is performing Lump of Goal in one of his magic ranch shows. He is using two coins. I assume he is using a gaff coin. I have some thoughts but really like to have a collegue to confirm my thoughts. Is anyone here knowing witch gaff he is using? Thanx for responding! best, Ronald |

Hi Ronald,
The best Handleing I have seen for that is John Mendoza's from his book. The book of John! It's a setdown routine ( LAP) But the final production is 500 or so penneys from under the Hat!!! If I remenber right I thank the gaff is a sun and moon coin! But If you can find the book of John GET IT! the Final load of 500 pennys is just so killer!!! |

The magic Ranch videos are some of the best education you can get. The lump of coal from a faz routine is called A Darker Shade of Malini and is in his book Pretty Sneaky still available from Magic Inc. in Chicago.

The coin might be from Chinatown.

Don Alan did use a Chinatown Dollar from Ken Allen. Thanks for the kind words Dave...I'm almost too old to lift the coin loader now! Take care.

I completey agree with Dave regarding Book of John.......GET IT!
Also, John Verse II is completely awesome and (for you card workers out there) has the BEST version of McDonald's Aces's in print! Good to see you on the Café, John......been a long time since I've seen you in St. Louis! Gene DeVoe was my mentor, too....may he rest in peace! |
