I've had the chance to watch this DVD and try out some of the material for myself. Any pro. strolling entertainer will EASILY get several routines from this collection they will want to add to their repertoires. John has shown a knack for simplification of method whilst retaining the strength of the effects. Am I going to mention my favorites? No, I want to keep them to myself lol.

This is one of the best card effect collections I've seen for a while and Russ did a great job with the DVD production. This should firmly cement John's growing reputation. In performing it, you know some of this material is going to STAY in your repertoire.

Am I mistaken or as there another coin routine in one of the early trailers of the DVD with three coins ending up on a wallet lying on the table?

The routine you are thinking of is Triple Impursination which uses a coin purse. If you are on the fence over this one, I would strongly recommend you give it a go...

I had the opportunity to try out Balducci As I Balducci at my Man U gig today and the reaction was excellent. It's a keeper. Need to work on my spread double and Larreverse now!

I also posted this in the Latest & Greatest section but wanted to make sure I mentioned the review here too because I really do like this DVD!


I had a chance to review this tonight during the Magic Marketplace product review show. Here are my highlights from the review....

Overall:

This is a solid DVD filled with commercial magic that will fit right into your closeup/walkaround act.

Cons:

* There isn't any real groundbreaking stuff here so if you're looking to find some magician foolers then look elsewhere.


Pros:

* The routines are obviously well thought out and play great for spectators/real people
* It's obvious that John knows his stuff and performs this for audiences.
* It's nice to see live performances of the effects in a restaurant or bar that they set up in.
* The teaching is great and they really cover ever detail to help you learn the effects.

Final Thoughts:

This is a great release and well worth the $30.00 price tag. John's magic already had a great reputation before I watched this and I honestly felt like he didn't let me down one bit. There's a nice variety of material on here from card routines, coin routines and even a bill to impossible location. Well done John, I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve sir.

Fantastic D.V.D. great magic routines for real world magic, In the hands of the spectator.Visual magic There will be something on this dvd that you will use. John as put great thought in to his magic.And john is well Versed in his knowledge of magic.This comes across when john credits people more than I have seen on most dvd's.This Guy shows his devotion to magic.Greatly recommended.
