This is part inquiry and part tip: I've watched a lot of dancing cane performances over the years on TV, at conventions and on youtube, but I rarely if ever have seen anyone do what Lewis Ganson calls the "M" move (see _The Floating and Dancing Cane_ from Ganson's Teach-In Series, page 23). I always thought this move was a nice, different sequence in a dancing cane routine and use it in all of my performances with the standard dancing cane. I usually go right from the M move into the around the body move. (It's called the "M" move because, as Ganson says, "It appears that the cane is dancing in the shape of the letter M.")

Sounds cool. But I haven't read the book and seen the M-move either.
