I recently stumbled upon a set of matching "trench art" cups made from shell casings. These are the same size as the shell casing I converted to a chop cup and posted last fall or winter. However, the guy who made these was a bit more talented as they are "prettier" than the one I made. These will take a 1.5" mini pool ball if you use a close-up mat. They won't stack, but you can do a few stack-like moves with them if you don't let go of the cups. These don't look like they ever had a primer installed in them. Maybe they were rejects. The heaviest one is 5.9 oz, the lightest, 5.6 oz.
Just thought I would share.....

Dale,
Those look great! We'll make cups out of just about anything, huh?

Thanks for the comments. These do have a lot of character (I think). I use the chop cup I made quite a bit, thread posted here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=115
I have been asked in email and PM messages if I could/would make a chop cup or cups to sell from these. The answer is sorry, no. I haven't even had the time to finish projects I started last summer. Anyway, I do have six of these cups that I've divided into two sets of three. One set will be sold soon (my friend Francis will have the first shot at them) and one set will eventually be donated to the Cups and Balls Museum if Bill wants them. I'm going to play with them for awhile, however. It would be cool if someone could find a bunch of these and make chop cups to sell. I've never had a prop draw the level of curiosity that my trench art chop cup has.
