Does anyone here do Salt & Pepper by D'Lite? I like the concept, and have my own way of performing this effect. Any opinions on the marketed item would be appreciated.

Is this the one where Salt and Pepper is mixed and you then separate them? If so I think the idea and workings are cool but it is a bit pricey. What kind of reaction do you get?

I posted a review of this at MagicTalk Reviews. The idea is good, but this absolutely did not work for me. The instructions were less than impressive and left much to be desired. Plus, it is possible to run out of "the stuff" and as far as I know, not possible to get more unless you buy another set, and at $60, I don't see that happening.
I'd say, don't bother with this if you are thinking about it. -Corey

Isn't the method a bit obvious, regardless of the price?
(Well, it is to me, anyway.) cheers, Peter Marucci showtimecol@aol.com |

It certainly is an "attractive" trick.

Yes, it is. I knew the method before I purchased it and figured it would work better than it did. The "stuff" doesn't really even look too real.
Needless to say I sold mine after about a week. -Corey

Of course it would be obvious to you, PM...you're from Canada. Not that it has anything to do with anything I just liked typing it.
You do, however, bring up an interesting point. What is obvious to someone with your knowledge and experience might very well fool laymen. Has anyone tried this thing in front of laymen?

I figured it out too, but does it mean you have to carry a pepper shaker around with you or is there like an "attachment"?

I once saw Rocco perform it and it looks great. He did it with the Flip-tip. I think the set up is a bit cumbersome.

Maybe. But if I, or anyone else, can figure out the working from just reading a printed ad, how "mysterious" can it be? cheers, Peter Marucci showtimecol@aol.com |

Peter has a good point.

I'm reminded of the great line by Ballentine - as he reaches down through a hat, obviously into a hole through the table to produce a rabbit - he looks up at the audience and says, "How else?"
