While magicians have done quite well in both America's Got Talent and Australia's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent hasn't been kind to magicians (or perhaps it's the other way around!). Hefty congratulations are in order to David Penn and his "magic partner" Karen for breaking the trend and wowing the audience.
It wasn't perfect. If you watch the video closely, you'll see David's feet flash before the transposition is revealed. However, I doubt one person in a hundred noticed. And even if someone did, it doesn't tip the method. Well done, David and Karen! Let's hope they go far in the competition. |

I'll tell you what I love about this: the performance style. Just showy enough without being old-school cheesy. Felt contemporary. While the props are flashy, their costumes were low key. I really like that theaey looked like real people and not peacocks.
