Firstly, this is probably the wrong place for this post, but it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to understand where I would place it.
Ok, the "Sphere". It's said that the sphere is a REAL crystal ball, and that the spectators are SHOCKED when they touch it afterwards and feel how heavy it is. Look at these pictures. Isn't it amazing that he does it in full daylight and that close to the audience? http://www.wonderwizards.com/images/sphere1smaller.jpg http://www.wonderwizards.com/images/spheresurround2b.jpg Now to the question: Have anyone here seen him perform this? Can you confirm that it's a real crystal ball? Mikael |

http://www.wonderwizards.com/item.php?id=43 you can download a Quicktime or RealPlayer movie of Kenton's Sphere , both the metal ball and the crystal ball version . Kenton's web site says: "Please understand Kenton's allowing other magicians to view this does NOT give away his rights to his creation for performance, manufacturing or sales in any manner, public or private. Kenton RETAINS the exclusive right to this effect and method as well as his unique bending presentations. Please feel free to perform all the numerous other effects from his act that Kenton has published and openly shared with the magic community. He has given much - we must insist on respect for the few things Kenton keeps for his own. Below are the clips to enjoy. These are REALLY big files, so please be patient. These files were not created for internet streaming. Please save them to disk and view them locally for best results. It's a little time, but worth it to finally see for yourself. Yes, the crystal ball is real and very, very heavy. Spectators are shocked when Kenton hands it to them. Let's hope Kenton releases this sometime, but in the meantime... ENJOY! " |

I saw him do it at a lecture back in December and it was quite impressive. He used a large metal ball when he did it at the lecture.
As for it being a real crystal ball, you may be best served to email him and ask, he's a friendly guy. oliver |
