I'm looking for a good source (book/dvd..) on glass eating id really appreciate your help thanks |

You just eat it. These no trick. It's just a silicate after all. Make sure you chew properly, just like mother said!

Yep
but I want to know if theres a kind of glass that's better for this then other..i know that theres no tricks to it but there must be some hints and tips from those who do it for years but thanks anyway |

Light bulb glass is a good place to start.

Also Todd Robbins eats light bulbs like no one I have ever seen before. I not sure that sounds right? Maybe he has published his work on the subject.

Ok, do NOT "just eat it". Do NOT read Swami/Mantra. If you want to do it for real, find someone who is willing to teach you and take personal one on one instruction with him/her. If you want to fake it, there is a DVD called Geek Magic. It is good and the spectators will swear that you ate glass. As far as any real danger goes, YES!!! EATING REAL GLASS IS VERY DANGEROUS!!!!

As far as I know, Todd's only taught this once, at a master class at Coney Island. He hasn't published it.
Swami/Mantra is a great resource for inspiration. I just re-read it the other day. However, the information on stunts is mostly inadequate. There's much more to most stunts (especially one of this danger level), than can be published in a newsletter. It absolutely NEEDS to be learned in person. It's not a double lift.

With all due respect, there as much hysteria here as there was about the risks of pulse stopping.
Eating glass ain't 100% safe, but you can't get glass emboli!! Eating sharp bone spicules can be just as hazardous.

The information I put in that letter came from Dr. Jonathan Cohen, one of the heads of gastroenterologist at NY University Hospital. I don't know where Doc Steve got his information, and I don't know how many light bulbs he had eaten. I've done more than 4,000.
