I started wrapping my silks around a PVC pipe to keep them looking good. My problem is that the silks slide around quite a bit on the pipe. Is there a way to keep the silks from sliding around/off the pipe?

Thanks,

Mark

Put a couple of stripes of small athletic training tape on the pipe. Sticky side on the pipe, of course.

The trouble with that solution is that the first silk on the pipe is secure, but subsequent silks slide on top of one another. You can separate them with cotton handkerchiefs or bandannas, but that's a lot of extra work and trouble. How many silks are we talking about here? You might be able to use a folding laundry rack like this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-23.5......ethod=rr

Would I be correct in thinking that silks moving around on PVC would create a bunch of static?

No, static is not the problem, sliding off the pipe is! I wrap anywhere from 5 to 10 silks per pipe. 36" picture silks on one, 2 sets of snap silks on another & 36' streamer on still another.

Any other suggestions?
