I've just been researching keywords on google adwords keyword tool and found out that the phrase "childrens partys" is more than twice as popular as "childrens parties".
Is anyone else surprised by this?

Doesn't matter. Do a search for "childrens partys" and you'll see it says "Showing results for childrens parties. Search instead for childrens partys".

Amateurs think that using misspelled keywords will give them an SEO edge. The search engines caught onto this many years ago, it doesn't work any longer. It used to be that you could actually bank on peoples lack of intelligence. About the time Search Engines could correct your misspelled words is when this all went away.

That's good to know.
My website is mrphilparties so it's good to know that people will find it even if they can't spell.
I was genuinely surprised that more people spelt it wrong, and amazed that it was twice as many.
