How often are the local rings to hold elections or do they even have to hold them at all. I know of one that has not had an election for 3 years or more.

I guess it depends on your chapters charter or bylaws. Our ring has yearly elections. Not that the officers change over that often. But we do have the opportunity to change leadership every year if we so desire. We also have term limits on certain positions. The president can only serve for two years consecutively. This helps in keeping things fresh and stops dynasties from forming

Our ring 325 elections are annual, as well.
