I have never been fond of anyone having an "era" named after them after a win.

I was unhappy that the pushed Tiger so much and were making such comparisons as Nicholas and Palmer, when the kid was not anywhere near that long in his career.

I know sports craves heros. But I wish they would back off on the hype some.

FIrst golf tournament I have watched in quite a while. I don't know about it being the beginning of an "era", but he was fun to watch, gracious in the interviews, and you can't argue his talent. I especially liked the part where he referred to his Masters meltdown as a "learning opportunity".

I do think the hype is not his fault. I think that people just want to create heros. But then they revel so in the fall of them don't they?
