You can use what was listed above or you can do what I do. I go to a hobby/craft store and get the really small needles and just kind of pry it out. Be careful not to scratch the gaffs.

You can also shake it gently into a glass of water.. But the best way is to get a bang ring.

You beat me to it. That's how I separate my hopping half set when they nest wrong in my pocket. It never let me down.

This is a bang ring. You place the shell with the coin in the bang ring and you hit it on a hard surface.
They coin will drop from the shell and the shell will remain in the bang ring.

I use an X-Acto knife blade to pry it out.

Your post says that it is a setis so call Jaime and tell him. He should take care of it. If not then either get two new coins that fit the shell, or the easy route and gentle sand the edge of the coins that do not fit.

I roll up some duct tape and stick it to the shell and roll up some and stick it to the coin and pull. Sometimes it take a few tries but it usually works.

Guys get real, if it is to tight uses a glass to rattle it out , then what you want to do is, take a thin cloth, put it over the shell, place the other shell in there, cover it whit the cloth, then place the coin in there, the thickness of the cloth will spread the shells, that's how jamie showed me, or if you are on the run, uses a dollar bill, if you want a slippersam, uses a tremil and file it down your self do not use sand paper to expain you shell, that's crazy.

Fixed my issue. Now what I do is place the shell on my shirt (ONE IM WEARING) then the coin under it and force to nest it.. It gets trapped in my shirt so to seperate them I place my finger on top of the shell and pull downward on my shirt to separate them and that's it that slight fabric of the shirt opens up the shell a bit.. Hope that helps.

Use to use shells until one fellow screamed "its ho***w!" Just left a bad taste in me mouth after that. He is the type to be all over the web after you do something. Never show him anything anymore, its just sometimes he is lurking over a shoulder.
