OK, I have to admit that this card ended up having simply awesome fights. But nobody won who I wanted to win.
Half of the fights ended in the first round, which was intense. The main event between Faber and Cruz went the distance and it was an awesome battle. Like an MMA Rocky. The bummer is that I wanted Wanderlei Silva to win. It was the fight I was most excited about. I have come to respect Leben in recent years, but it's Wandie man! And he got crushed fast. Very sad. I was also hoping Tito would get knocked right out and retire. I can't stand listening to him talk. But he knocked out Bader (who I hear is a master ) And I also wanted Faber to submit Cruz but Faber lost by decision. I was okay with the German winning, though I could have gone with either one of those dudes. Bonus, even though he talked really fast I was able to translate about half of what he said for my gf before his trainer gave his version, which was fun. (and how come the trainers never give completely accurate translations?) Still, an exciting night. Just kind of sad none of my fighters won.
