Gary Kurtz has an interesting method for getting a signed card to card box. It has a nice subtle convincer at the end. Check it out. Steve Reynolds has a great method for a signed card to card box in his new lecture notes. If anyone is interested i can put you in touch.

Not to digress from the general discussion, but…
Pete, although I started using the Box with the Mercury, my presentation over time has gotten longer and longer, to the point where it is extremely slow and deliberate. What are your thoughts on the effect? |

I have been working on this effect:
A card is selectected and signed. A colour change is performed and the card is found in the case. The selection is places on the table and the case is shown empty. The card on the table (supposedly the selection) is turned face up and is shown to have changed to an indifferent card. The selection is again removed from the card case. The selection then vanishes (rub-a-dub-dub) and the spectator removes the selection from the case. Now the deck is squeezed and compressed into a single card and the remainder of the deck is found in the case. This last phase is giving me problems. Without resorting to a gaff (e.g. PH vanish pack gaff) it is hard. |

My friend Chris said when he was at the magic castle some kid showed him an amazing card transposition. He said the kid put on card in a ziplock bag and another on the table.....he said watch the card in the bag.....he shook it and it changed into the one from the table and the one on the table is the one from the bag.....I would love to know the name of that effect.....this fits the topic kinda.

One of the Fingers has a very visual trick on The Movie:
A card is chosen and thrown around on two card fans (a la egg on fan) then the card visually changes into the cardbox, when the box is opened the card is found inside! Looks way cool! (The whole Movie is way cool!!!)

I'll second Gary Kurtz' method. Guy Hollingworth has one, but I'm not much of a fan of his.

Jack In The Box is more of a quicky. Not really worth getting a card signed for.
Might I suggest having a D****cate folded up in the box and using a MCF and shuttle pass? Or better yet, load the signed card under the box and mime pulling it out with your finger and thumb? |

Welshwizard...
I can't believe this, but I am also working on something along that line. with the whole deck being inside the card case and leaving me with the selection in my hand. And yes, I still haven't yet thought of a solution.
