Sitting behind our booth at the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River, Alaska, while my daughter mans (girls?) the booth. I'm in a perfect spot to hear all the comments and it is so cool to be offering something people are so happy to pay for. We have about a 99.75% satisfaction rate.

Yesterday was slow but today is packed. My daughter (15 yo) has even mentioned that maybe she should get her own zibit so she can go into business for herself.

I can think of worse careers. Such as anything that requires you sit at a desk.

My back hurts, my feet are burning, but my wallet weighs more than it did before the weekend started.

I like these transactions...

1st Person: "Let's go see that."

2nd Person: "Naw, I don't want to, you go ahead."

1st Person hands me the dollar and goes in.

1st Person: "What the *** is that?!"

2nd Person: "Okay, here's my dollar!"

If I had a dollar for every time that happened -- oh wait, I do! Two dollars, in fact!

I'm going to write up something I discovered about how "friction" made us more money this weekend, but first I'm going to put my feet up and watch a couple episodes of Doctor Who. And maybe take a nap.

But it was a good weekend.

Bet you wished you had one years ago !!

No doubt about it. While it takes a while to make significant moolah at a buck a pop, with no inventory to mess with it's SO nice. This weekend we watched vendors schlepp box after box of product back and forth from their booths to their vehicles. Yeah, we had a booth just like they did, but our "product" fit into a suitcase and was carried in and out with one hand.

And I don't ever have to "replenish" my supply throughout the day. Maybe just get a new zibit every once in a while.

This weekend was the first time out for me, my girlfriend & our Zibit too. We had a good time a the Silver Leaf Ren Faire in MI. I bet your weather was nicer.

Jay...Ren Fairs have been good from the reports I get. Some use it as a Walk Around or put it in a Cart...one uses an old Baby Carraige.

An addition of battered window shutters to the buggy might be a nice touch ( so the veiwer only , can see the delight within )

Doug birthed one of these puppies for me 6 yrs ago and it has earned its keep and paid for itself over and over. Its one of the most treasured pieces in my portfolio. Thanks again Doug! Its in Oceanside and Carlsbad currently.

This specimen is in my care. They hold up very well with minimal care. I've had dentists study the cleft palette for darn near 15 minutes and walk away scratchin thier noggins. Enjoy!
