Here is a link to a video-recording I've made of myself performing a variation on the silk to egg effect in my backyard.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNcYuqIt4IQ I'm an amateur magician, and this is one of the tricks I have been working on to polish, in the hopes that I might one day perform it. Where I don't know, since it doesn't seem interesting enough for kids, and is perhaps not flashy enough for adults. Please watch the video with an eye on improvements I might be able to make. Let me know what you think of the pacing, the volume of my voice, my appearance, clothes, posture, gestures, attitude, energy, etc. I welcome your feedback, since having input aside from my own can help make my performance more enjoyable. Otherwise, you're welcome to watch it and enjoy the fun. Also, I would welcome any insight you could give me on where I could perform something like this, what steps I might take in order to get paid for performing, or even to get practice. ~Nick |

Hi Nick,
I would suggest picking up the pace a bit and making your presentation a little less "wordy". This can be a great trick for kids, but I would add more energy. Kids always love the idea of learning some magic, especially once you've already done a few other tricks and am now going to teach them something of their own. Keep working on it and you'll find your rhythm as you become more comfortable with it. :o) |

Morjhana, thanks so much for the feedback, and its great advice too. I'll work on a less wordy script.
