2011 Was every bit as fun and informative as 2010. The instructors were Bobby Maverick and Gazzo if you don't know who they are, you have been living under a rock.

5 students consisting of Frank a 15 year street performing veteran, Ted a professional entertainer taking his pro show to the streets, Me a student and hobbyist of the game. Tim a good magician with an act that has seen just a few part time months on the street, David a new member of magic community about to take his act to the street to get experience very quickly.

Friday we each did 3 to 5 shows with Gazzo and Bobby giving us instruction and tips after each show. This gave all of us chance to apply there instruction and tips to OUR show. In my opinion no better way to learn than by doing under supervision of pros.Saturday was same format but with added benefit of allowing Fridays instructions and tips to sink in. I was amazing to see how much improvements were made in one day.

Frank improved a already tight show, just goes to show you can always get better when taking instruction from a pro. Ted got better at crowd control and Gazzo gave him a very funny bit to add to his show. Remember Teds name he is going to be a street performing star! Gazzo and Bobby gave me something I thought I would never have a set show. They also gave me a clear road map to make my show better and I am dense maybe that is why it took me two boot-camps. Tim's show got some remodeling making it much tighter. I heard a lot more sounds of astonishment coming from his audiences members. David show improved 200% he was very smart to get pros help before he went to the street. I personally think that you show go blind into street performing so you leave the pitch 1st day wanting to CRY, but he was much too smart for that.

Bobby performed one small show it was a very funny show and it was amazing to see him shift gears from just messing around to seasoned performer in blink of an eye. Gazzo did two shows with borrowed equipment. We all know how great a performer he is but it is 10 times better to see him in person and feel electricity in the air than watching him on dvds.

Sunday was very hot not that Saturday was not but we did small shows and learned some magic from Gazzo and Frank, Bobby left the pitch early to finish up BBQ. We knocked off early and went to Bobby house for the BBQ. Bobby really know how to cook and his wife is a saint just as Bobby says to allow a bunch of street performers over to their house. If you see me at next year Busker Boot Camp it will be for the pulled pork.

If you want to learn anything get all the instructional material and instruction you can get. Street performing is no different. I highly recommend you get on the list for next year if Bobby and Gazzo are doing it again.

I hope you don't mind Shel but I'm going to piggy back my review with yours and ignore Kozmo's comment.

Gazzo is an amazing teacher. I watched him teach 5 guys in five different ways. It was more like watching a Doctor giving each patient the medicine they needed and some they maybe didn't want but desperately needed. Shots suck but some people need them. They only sting for a moment and sometimes it is exactly what is in order to make sure the medicine sticks. This patient in particular needed one but the Doctor gave him a few more just to be safe. Other guys only needed "take two aspirin and call me in the morning" but no matter what the ailment each patient became stronger and better each day. His bed side manner is a delight as well. The first day I felt like a soaked sponge that couldn't absorb any more. After a lousy nights sleep I had wrung out the sponge and sopped up most of the mess. I like comparisons. So what?

Bobby. the perfect Physicians Assistant. He has a way with words. He can lay it out to where you understand your ailment and gives you hope in getting better. He was always there to pick you up if you were feeling down and I bet he is as great hugger. Even for a high hugger. His positive attitude and passion are contagious. His playfulness with each student was only outdone by his playfulness with his audience.

Together they are an amazing team. So many laughs and so many lessons, tricks and sleights that my mind is boggled. How can two guys know so much? Experience.

The valuable tools they shared with us were an amazing gift. I now expect to have my audiences double in size and energy. The method of their madness was exactly what I needed.

We all performed many shows each day. We all worked very hard. Having the opportunity to watch them both work was an experience I'll never forget. So effortless. The pearls I was given will help me through out my whole life. They taught me how to fish so I can eat forever.

I'd go back and do it next year, even if Kozmo was going to be there, however it looks like they are not going to do it every year. I am so happy I committed myself to going this year. I never would have made it to 2013. It was worth everything. The heat, exhaustion, money, time, being away from my family, etc.

It has been said that when the student is ready the teacher appears. For me the timing on this couldn't have been better.

AND Bobby is one hell of a cook.

I'll always be grateful for Busker Boot Camp and highly recommend it to any serious busker wanting to improve their show. If you want to busk you would only be hurting yourself and your audience by not going.

FIVE STARS

Bobby is very right. I was joking. Lighten up folks. I should watch my humor where people don't know me I suppose.

I have nothing but respect for Kozmo. He does rock. But he was asking for a joke by saying he wasn't gonna pay. Smile

I wouldn't say that. I've never met him. But I do respect his work. He is a friend of Bobby's and that is good enough for me. Bobby is good people. Of course even Hitler had friends.... Smile

I saw Kozmo's lecture a couple of years ago and I like his work. He's pretty cool in my book.

Plus, I heard he will be at the McBride Busking thing with Mario in October....

Oh, and I wanted to clarify something small that I learned. It's pronounced Gazzo. Not Gauze O. He will answer either way but, in my opinion, if you'd like to stop sounding like a stupid american say it right.

In England Gaz is short for Gary. Like Chaz is short for Chad. His last name is Osbourne so someone coined Gazzo (Gaz Osbourne) for him at some point and it stuck.

My wife called me a numpty for asking him because she thought it was obvious. I suppose I should have asked her first.

Bored and stuck at home tonight. :-(

Training and tuition from the best. Heard about the camp, but couldn't make it. I do remember learning from Gazzo, so many years ago. A great, and patient teacher. It's because of him, and his teaching, I got a lot better, a lot quicker.

Nuff said

Any other industry personalized hands on attention and consulting given by pros like Gazzo & Bobby at Busker Bootcamp would easily cost 4 or 5 figures.
