Lets see how long a list we can generate...
How many actors/actresses can we come up with who played a role in movie/tv/stage in which they were referred to as "Chief" rather than called by their character name. Please list only one so everyone gets a turn. I'll start with one old one (though I can think of about a dozen) Actor Frank DeKova on the TV show "F" troop was called "Chief" rather than his name "Wild Eagle".

I'd think top of the list has to be Will Sampson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I think they called Chief Dan George "Chief" in the outlaw Josey Wales a few times. But the character wasn't named Chief. (Probably in darn near every role he ever played now that I think of it)
