Hello everyone,

I was just wondering, I've read multiple texts on the zarrow shuffle, and practice as I have, I can't find a way to make it look natural... Does anyone have a clip of themselves or someone else doing it without"stuffing the turkey" as it were? I would love to get a visual reference without the spreading of the right hands cards prior to the pushin.

Thanks.

Here's Herb Zarrow doing it.

Gary Plants does it better, in my opinion. You literally can't distinguish it from his actual shuffle. Ask for a demo if you run into him.

Have you read the chapter in Herb Zarrow: A life of magic? That really helped me when learning the shuffle. It goes into much more depth than any other description I have seen.

This is the way I would do a Zarrow asvwell, except making a little bit more effort to smoosh the packets together. Looks great, JJSanvert! This is what practise can enable one to do! Very good illusion.

Excellent!

BTW, I see you are using the Texan Palmetto deck.

Are you familiar with Busby's Secret of the Palmettos?

I got a lot from the Fast Company DVD set then attended one of Jason England's lectures which paid huge dividends as well!

JJ - I believe that yours is the best Zarrow I have ever seen. Exceptionally well done. Thanks for your video. I see the art each time you put out some of your work. Merci beaucoup.

I agree, an excellent Zarrow. Also, I feel that apparent binding of the cards isn't as necessary as many seem to think. If you legitimately shuffle a deck lightly, leaving air between the cards, they won't bind, therefor, the false and true shuffle will look the same.

Dominique Duvivier has an interesting handling of the Zarrow Shuffle that looks nice. It's on the second volume of The Magic Of Dominique Duvivier video.

If any one can put the video of Mike Vincent's first appearence on Penn and Teller Fool Us at the end in his Finale he does a nice Zarrow, I say nice , you see it, and know its being done , but look at the misdirection , looking straight at the audience and paying no attention to the Shuflle, its wonderful.
