http://www.samsandler.com

there are few things that we are updating and sprucing up and adding over the next week but its 97% complete and ready to work for me verses me working for it.

there are some text changes that will be made over the next two weeks after getting some excellent advice from a fellow Café member.

any who many of you have posted your websites so I thought I would share my new one with you.

take a look if you would like and sure offer any comments you want good or constructive

thanks again

magically yours

Why is it so wide? Very hard to read that way.

Other than that, it does look really good to me.

Your other site is perfect size.

Sam, The site looks great, can you slow the transitions down a little, they race across

Tom what do you mean by so wide??
it looks fine on my computer and my friends computer so I am not sure what you mean. I understand what you mean I guess but not sure what it is doing on your screen. could it be your settings and not my site?? I will look into it today.

thanks

Howie- same thing the transitions on the home page is what your refering too right? they are not that fast on mine but keep in mind I don't want them to be slow as the idea here is to get them to see them and most people wont sit there for 20 seconds reading it. these are more like screen shots that they can take a look at. plus you can click on the bottom right and make them stop on any one you want so you can read it.

thanks for the comments - I am really proud of this site. lots of work but looking forward to seeing it get lots of better use then my old site.

Well Sam, I guess it was my computer last night. I had to scroll left to see it all on the screen, but this morning it looks perfect. Sorry bout that.

I like it really. I think it's the color that makes it stand out. Well Done.

Sam,

It's the same thing with me, yesterday I looked at the computer and the page was wider on my screen then it was this morning; also yesterday the page stayed long enough to read it, but when it started to move, it moved at the speed of light and today it has slowed itself down and doesn’t shoot across from page to page.

Now it looks great, all you need to do now is get that scary guy off the page and replace it with a sexy girl.

I stand corrected two out of three have an appeal to the 18 to 35 year old demographics; the last picture I looked at was the Bigger Wand with no sexy lady; just the scary guy…

THIS MUST BE FIXED ….

Everything else is a very nice website

Sentence under gold package states...

Our standard birthday party package, but don't let THT fool you.

Under Christine's bio...

"ADDITIONAL to her classical ballet education she studied modern. Jazz and yoga."

Under your bio...

"Matter of fact Sam has won multiple first place awards..." (I believe it should read... as a matter of fact,)

Personally, I think the homepage transitions scroll to fast for ME. I can't take it all in by the time it changes.

Otherwise, really nice website.

I thought the homepage transitions scroll was to fast the first time I saw it, but the next day it slowed down.

I don't know if it is a computer, an internet, or a server problem

It's certainly the site of a working performer!

I liked it a lot -- just the right blend of camp and magic. I found it impossible to read the home page because the transitions were too fast, though.

Well used graphics...lots of white space. You offer just enough information to interest me. Great work, Sam!

Sam;

The first time I looked at the site, the transition was fast, yesterday it had slowed down and no one else commented on the speed; I looked today and it has sped up again.

The speed changes, it must be magic

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I will address the spelling mistakes and grammer as I do have a writer that checks my work but with so much text even the good spell checkers can make a mistake. good catches and thanks for the heads up!

as for the speed of the home page - I think the thought here is it is more of a quicky meaning most people don't stay on the home page very long so we wanted it to scroll before they head off into the site. but your concerns will be taken seriously and I will as my web guy what he thinks.

maybe we can slow them just a bit. by the way you can on the lower right corner click the dots and select the home page you want to view with out it moving!

thanks again and I am very excited to have it up and running its be a lot of work but from your comments sounds like we did pretty good job.
hope my new potential clients like it too:)

If you are using IE 8 or 9 for web access, then you may have to click on the "Compatibility View" button at the top of your browser, next to the address window. If it is not there then you may have to activate that feature. It will adjust automatically sites to fit on your screen. This of course is not 100% as it depends on the site and how it was designed. For most professionally designed sites it works and solves the problem.

I had no idea that was there.
I've always pressed Ctrl + or - to adjust it.

Thanks

You could consider putting less copy on those fast transitioning slides.

Definitely too wide. Netbooks and tablets have become standard issue for web browsing, and it's way too wide for my netbook screen. Transitions are still too fast too view and read the text all before it changes. But the overall look is a lot of fun! Nice design.

Would it be possible to remove the links to the blog and the other "coming soon" pages, until the pages are ready?

I loved your showreel. I'd want to have it on the front page.

Also it says on your signature you are deaf, but there is no mention of this on your site (that I could find). I guess this is on purpose. I would think it could be good to use your deafness in a positive way to show how you have overcome it and can be an inspiration to others.

The site looks really great overall!! I like the 2nd/3rd greatest show on earth bit.
