I saw Jeff McBride perform a stage effect using a chinese fan with little gold LED lights at the end of the fan that he "plucked off" with his hand (D-Lite?)and put in his mouth. He then opened his mouth and showed the LED light on his tounge LIT! He swallowed, and the light was gone, he then repeated the effect several times "eating" all the lights that were originally at the ends of the fan. It was a stage effect, and bright enough for a large venue.
This was performed at "Legends of Magic" a small get together of magicians in Vegas. I never got the chance to talk to Jeff about it and I would love to know if it's a manufactured item or something that he and his team built. Does anyone out there know of this item. I don't really care about the fan, I just want to be able to light up my tounge and turn it off with no hands and be as bright as a LED. Any ideas? Thanks a ton, Keith

Jeff has been experimenting with LEDS for a long time and this is his own invention. I think it is the best routine of his, with the exception of his cards and eyeball routines.

Thanks Zombie,
Does anyone know anything about this routine? Does anyone else do anything like this? Is Jeff the only one? I really enjoyed his performance of it. I would love to hear anyone elses thoughts on this. Thanks, Keith

This was created for Jeff and is an exclusive. It is not commercially available.

Yes, it sounds like an exclusive effect. (probably not one for walk-around table work!)
By the way Keith, this isn't noted to minimize your post in anyway, but the word is TONGUE. (although we knew what you meant) |

Gosh...... if there ever was the <perfect> smiley!
Thanks, Ron.
Like Bonnie Raitt said, "I miss Little Feat more than I miss being 8 years old." Thanks for the concerts + recordings, Lowell, Richie, and Paul!

You could try to use one of the tongue glow stick lights. Not LED, but hey, lights your tongue up...

Thanks guys, I knew that didn't look right (tung, tounge, tuonge,)??? Anyway, thanks for the ideas. I am going to start messing around with some LED lights and see what I come up with.

Hi Keith,
I saw Jeff do this effect at Master Class last year. He did it once for the class at his home and then again close-up when Lance came by the studio. Lance was very intrigued also. Jeff said he had been working on it for a long time. Jeff shared almost anything that the class asked about, but he would not talk about this effect. It is a fantastic routine. Later. Bob
