Yes, interesting. It is a pity,however, that every move after the first is determined (i.e., the spectator has no choices) - an intelligent spectator will notice this.

The original puzzle is an interesting challenge, which you can try out on my website.

Keep in mind, as the performer, it's your job to entertain the spectator enough that they don't notice the fact that they can really only choose clockwise or counter-clockwise. Also, if they put the knight on the center card first, they're guaranteed not to notice the predetermined nature of the moves!
