Listen to Artie he was at one time one of the biggest artist reps. at Polymer records. I think he knows a thing or two about the entertainment biz. As for Criss's site, I think it will serve as a good source of entertainment and be something that will keep the casual fan of magic interested. Pleasing magicians is hard to do so lets root for Criss and Copperfiel P&T and Blaine and all the other big guys as they try to contribute. You don't have to like what they do but to the outside world we should look like a brotherhood and have some unity.

Welcome to MagicPlace.com

Due to the overwhelming response to the launch of MagicPlace.com, our servers could not handle the extraordinary traffic and have been extremely slow. We understand how frustrating this experience can be. Therefore, in order to improve the speed and your overall experience with the new site, we have temporarily taken the site down and are migrating to faster servers. We are working diligently to get the site back up within the next 48 hours. We appreciate your loyalty and patience during this process and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Please check back regularly. And we will tweet and post on Facebook as soon as we are back up. We want to make your experience with the new site as enjoyable and amazing as possible.

Thank you again for your patience and support!!

I call Epic Fail first! Or is this the first performance: the disappearing website! I do hope this site is good though.

Or they crashed it themselves so they could claim that more than 500 lonely teens and 1,200 middle aged women were actually interested.

I'm sure we will hear lots of 'data' about how hugely successful this is, yet - like claims of show ticket sales and rating slots - will be little more than self deception.

Dear criss, if you have to keep yelling at us, proclaiming something is 'extreme' or 'dangerous' the bit obviously isn't, or we would see it as such by ourselves. Perhaps it would be wise to see if anything actually 'changes' before giving one's project the title of a 'revolution'.

Good luck finding the exit ramp off the low road, your current transit corridor of choice.

BTW, it takes an hour tops to transfer a web site to "faster servers".......how ya' makin' out so far?
Did you have the site on an old 486 in Chris's bedroom?.........in anticipation of all that "traffic", you know the traffic I mean?...... that overwhelming traffic that "crashed" the site?

Before the site was finally removed you could see the forums. There were a few posts but the interesting thing is that it said the most users ever online was 30. And that occurred shortly after the launch.

Whether that's a reliable indication of the level of traffic I do not know. But that's what it said.

In any case, why take the site down once they realized it was still there? We could see it just fine and although there were a lot of dead links everything was working properly.

History has shown us just because someone works in the business doesn't mean they give the best advice or endorse the best product, just saying.

Seems odd to spend millions on a new TV studio and $1.98 on the new website?

the irony is that the web domaine is now probably getting more traffic as magicians the world over are visiting to see if it's back online yet than when it was launched..... maybe he should sell some advertising space on the sorry we are not working page, advertisers would get plenty of exposure there.......

It looks interesting, I wonder if he's trying to monopolize all the google hits in his "Secrets revealed" section. Basically if he gets lots of traffic to his sight whenever somody types in "criss angel secrets revealed" they should come to his sight.

The whole sight is totally self promoting. He needs to realize that he is not the only magician in the world and there are others out there.

I don't mean to be rude but it seems like he is exploiting magic for his own good. I'm uncomfortable with that.

On Ebay today and suprised at how much Criss Angel Magic Set is going for.

I think he is a better marketer then a magician. Not saying he is bad but he has a gold finger like Oprah. Its something about him that draws the young audiences.

Good times,

D
