The are a bunch of them....I have a classic vernet hard TT. I got mine with a silk from penguinmagic.com for $7.95 . It also came with 101 tricks with a TT.

Almost any magic shop should have them. If you don't see them on display, ask about them.
The type to get (hard or soft type of tip) might depend on what type of tricks you intend to do with it. For example bill switch versus making liquids or other stuff vanish.

You must be JoeKing? You have never bought a TT before? I'm amazed!

How new are you to magic?

This might be a good thread to ask this..

I have trouble these days fitting my thumb and a silk in a vernet. It feels like its going to fall off all the time!

I don't have HUGE thumbs but I worry I might lose it one day!

This is what I do.....I pack the silk into the TT leaving it out a little bit. I then shove my thumb in it and it stays on fine even if I shake it vigorously. I think having the silk out a little bit and pushing in air with your thumb creates an airlock kinda of grip.

For me it depends on what I am doing as to what kind of TT I use.
For silks and bill changes etc,...I like the hard, short Vernet tips.
If I am vanishing a lit cigarette I prefer the rubber Vernet TT's. You can't see the black ash build up through them. I also use the Rubber one's to magically produce glitter (woofle dust, pixie dust, etc,...) from my empty hand during my act.

Doesn't the Hotrix website have a really nicely mad thumbtip called "Thumbs Up." I thought I heard that I was good to work with?
