Is there a video available of what Science Friction does?

I have just opened a new thread for reviews of Science Friction. I know this is the third thread to be opened but I am hoping to keep it JUST for reviews so people can see what they are buying without having to wade through pages of personal discussion.
The new thread can be found here; http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=218&0 |

However, I now strongly believe that Science Friction IS Clear Plasti Dip spray due to the following:- 1. Alexander Kölle, after releasing one of his effects (using Plasti Dip), would have probably developed a sort of passion for Plasti Dip. 2. The magic market is too small to have something revolutionary developed just for it. Usually it is a rebranding of something that already exists and is simply repackaged and sold at 5x the price - Like the R&S spray. Quote:

The size of aerosol cans are the same for both Science Friction as well as Plasti Dip (i.e. 11Oz). Quote:

So you are making the same assumptions without trying both side by side and waiting for someone else to do it? What is wrong with you people?
So here is a crazy thought no one has thought to mention - What if SF does the same thing as PD, but it's NOT the same thing. They just happen to accomplish similar effects? (I have worked with the PD spray it feels different on the fingertips to SF just so you know) Think how mad Card Shark might be to know he could have probably just relabeled a can of spray instead of something specially formulated? Wouldn't that just suck sponge balls?

I'm pretty confident they're different but is the difference worth the surcharge (since both do or more less the same)?? By the way, this is no rhetorical question!!

Movieman, I stand corrected!
After 14 pages or so of bickering I had an overwhelming urge to know what people really think of SF. |

There are lots of tricks that take some commonly available product and repurpose that for magical use.
Part of what they are selling is the knowledge that this can be done. As long as they have some value added contribution in terms of handling or routines then thay have a legitimate product. I don't think this is unethical. People can decide to buy or not at that point. The marketing is troublesome. I guess all surfaces have nano properties, but PlastiDip for example is not a nanotechnology product. |

The Professor intentionally adds some lighthearted comedic moments. Overall, I am very impressed with the DVD production values. The Magician I worked with yesterday is a Technical Director at Channel 15 here in Phoenix and he was also impressed with the DVD. There are some moments which could have really been tightened up, but overall it is a fun and extremely well produced. All the SF effects offer an OTS (over the shoulder) viewing option which is very helpful.

Many magic tricks use everyday items, but what annoys people is the way it is sold and marketed. The production quality of the DVD might be great, the tricks might be good and the packaging looks wonderfull, but a) the product is way overpriced and b) you don't get what you were promised. Not only doesn't the advertisment tell you exactly what you can expect or reveale the secret (which was a lie in order to collect user data!!!), you don't get a new product at alll (which was developed for 2 years with a chemist blabla...). The just sell you a $6 can of Plasti Dip with a nice gecko on it. Also the product isn't new to magic as Alexander Koelle used it in one of his releases. So Card-Shark just intentionally lies to sell an overpriced product: The DVD and the packaging isn't worth $ 90 - don't be a fool! What is worst is that Card-Shark isn't insightful at all - but at least greedy as he tries to create a marketing hype. Btw: Anybody is wondering, too, why the buyers who have SF yet don't post reviews...? |

I don't think a whole lot of people even have it yet. There have, however, been some good reviews from respected people who worked with the cards at Magic Live. Clearly, the product does what it says it will do. Saysold1 says the same. Likely, there will be more views coming.
"..you don't get a new product at alll (which was developed for 2 years with a chemist blabla...). The just sell you a $6 can of Plasti Dip with a nice gecko on it." Show that this is true. Show that they did not work with a chemist for 2 years (show that it it, indeed, "blabla" ). One reviewer (who has both products) has stated that the 2 products feel noticeably different after application to the cards. Until we know more, this is just silly speculation.
