Any magicians on here also have an interest in pinball? I recently bought a Firepower and now I think I have to get another! Haha..
If there's anyone living in Missouri that wants to get rid of one, send me a private message. My favorite pinball machine is probably The Simpsons Pinball Party that came out in 2003. I would like to get a chance to play an Addams Family, Twilight Zone and an Indiana Jones some time. What are your favorites? Past and present.

Twilight Zone was great, as were Comet and Funhouse. I also enjoyed playing Stingray, Captain Fantastic, Eight Ball Deluxe, and Mata Hari. Oh, and Silverball Mania. And Pinbot.
I haven't played pinball in a few years, but I should support the industry now that there's just Stern making new games. All of the other manufacturers have either gone out of business or switched to video poker and slot machines. |

My #1 is Funhouse followed closely by Pinball Wiizzard, Captain Fantastic, Paragon, and Earthshaker. I get my fix at the Pacific Coast Pinball Museum. Their huge expo is coming up in a few weeks in Marin.

I'm a pinball fan. I have a soft spot for the ID4 machine, not because it's a great machine, but I managed to get a max score of 9,999,990 on it, on my first ball. One week later, there was a power failure and my high score was wiped.

For most of my life I owned a 1962 Gottlieb Liberty Bell machine.
To heck with all of your newfangled digital machines. Wood, glass and mechanical score ticker. That was an amazing device! And the high score maxed out at 1,999. http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1438 Million points my bum. Kids these days... Gwyd |

I wish I could remember the name of my favorite machine, which was just some kind of relic sitting in the corner of an old mom and pop store next door to where I worked. We spent HOURS on that machine during our ten minute coffee breaks.
It was one of those old ones with everything mechanical except the lights. Great, great machine. I also played a lot of "Eight Ball Deluxe". I guess Curt and I have something in common. |

Pinball and video games were my surrogate parents.
I couldn't say which pinball machine was my favorite. The one I was probably best at -- and indeed, seemed I could play indefinitely -- was South Park. The one I was vexed most by was Attack from Mars. But, love them all. I know the magic crowd often descends on Vegas, so interested readers might note that there's a "pinball hall of fame" in Las Vegas, just off the south end of The Strip. The proprietor has hundreds of pinball machines (and a few video games) in excellent condition, and they're all playable. Some of the machines go back to the '50s. |

I used to play in a pinball league believe it or not. Our "home" game was Adams family. But my favorite game ever is Twilight Zone. I also like Funhouse, Black Knight 2000, and several others. Black Knight was the first game can remember playing that had "magna save". I love machines with magnets in them. Lately I have been playing CSI, Spiderman and Family Guy because that is what they have at our local watering hole. I haven't taken the time to master any of those but they are all pretty good games.

I havn't played a pinball machine in years. I just don't see them around anywhere. Back in college my favorite machine was Firepower.

I always enjoyed "Eight Ball Deluxe".
Black Knight is a cool machine too. I am one of the more "pinball geek" types. (And I live in Branson Missouri, but have no need to get rid of any!) One cool old school machine is called "Count Down". Lots of targets.

My Dad bowled in two leagues. Every now and then he got stuck with me on bowling night. The night was long and boring, but even so I looked forward to spending all my dimes in the Westgate machine.

I remember an arcade in Newport that had a number of pinball machines, including the Addams Family and Elvira one. One they had was "The Phantom of the Opera." The people who worked there hated that one because every time they hit the switches to turn on all the machines, up in the third floor they could hear a booming voice shouting; "I am the phantom of the opera!" You would think, expecting it would make it easier, but it was just TOO creepy and really upset them!"

The twilight zone machine is my favorite. I also like the creature from the black lagoon. I've never actually played it but it looks awesome.

Fun topic.
My all time favorite was "Surfer". http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2465&picno=4953 It was in a little doughnut shop on Carson St. in Torrance calif. My best friend and I, used to play that thing (and win many free games) all the time. When we were'nt getting into trouble, that is.
