Hello everyone, I'm a Bizarre Magic "virgin" in Canberra, Australia.
I'm currently waiting on my first batch of tricks to arrive from Lebanon Circle (many thanks Dan!) and then I will be running my first show. I've already been approached by one of the local historic sites and asked if I can run a dinner-and-a-show there! Word travels fast in Canberra I'll keep you updated as to how things are going. Are there any other Australians on this board? Cheers Geoffrey Darkholme Scholar of Arcane Sciences Collector of Bizarre Artifacts |

G'day Geoffrey
Welcome to the Café - I look forward to reading your contributions. You will find some others here from Oz and maybe even some close to home. Bob Latta (aka Troppo Bob) |

Thanks for the greetings Bob, Mary and Martock!
>Before your first batch of Magic Effects has arrived, you have a show booked? WOW! Hehe, not so surprising actually as I planned things this way. As Canberra is rather small (even though it's the capital of Australia) I needed to discover whether running magic shows here was a viable option before I dove into the deep end and created a business. Luckily I did some nosing around and got some interest in two places. One is supposed to be haunted, so they were extremely interested in running a seance-and-dinner show to bring in the punters. A combo of luck and good planning I like to think I didn't even order the tricks from Dan until I was sure that I could do this. Oh, plus checking that there were no other Bizarre Magic entertainers in the ACT (Australan Capital Terrirory) helped too Cheers Geoffrey Darkholme |

Fellow Aussie! Alright mate!
From Australia myself, though from Victoria, crazy far from you. In Melb, the magic circle is so small, it's practically non-existent - so its good to hear from fellow Oz practitioners. =P |
