Please feature The Best of the Wizard Review" each year - or a breakdown feature, i.e., best of closeup, best card packet effects, etc. or both.
Thanks. Nat On 2011-09-04 17:55, rickhypno wrote: Hi, I'm Rick from Hawaii, a fan of your show. Please review this products: 1. "Berglas Effect" book 2."WHISPER" by Ken Dyne 3. Pablo Amira´s booklets with Titanus( 3 booklets) thanks. [/quote] |

Big fan of the show. I know they've been around for a while, but will you be reviewing any JOL wallets?

As long as we're asking, I'd also love to see a berglas effects review. seems like it's been a while since any big books were looked at. also there's a treatise on color changes that lybrary is selling as an ebook right now that looks intriguing but which is pricey for an ebook. any chance you guys could give that a quick skim and a thumbs up or down?

Anyone want to sticky this thread? I think it is a wonderful idea.
Also, I'd love to see a review of Tony Giorgio's Ultimate Work, been thinking about it for a while. |

Mahucharn, the Giorgio DVD is a masterclass in handmucking. if you're interested in that stuff, then there's stuff on there you won't learn anywhere else. it's excellent. but it's not the kind of thing that craig and dave do and it's not really a "tricks" dvd so I don't know if its the sort of thing that they will like.

I enjoy the reviews but they do seem to be dominated by a myriad of 'one trick DVD's'.
Am I the only person that finds a lot of digital media pretty boring - not to mention just a tad overpriced (particularly when you don't even get the gimmick made up or, at least, the props required to make one)! Here's a ground breaking idea - what about reviewing A BOOK (remember those things with paper, pages, words. photos, diagrams)? Surely I can't be the only person left that can still read; there must be a number of us that STILL find books to be the best value/most useful things in magic? What about it chaps? Maybe have a 'book only week'? Now there's a challenge!

Could you review the No Way Bottle Production?
It looks great but I want to know if it is worth buying to learn that one production which escalates to about 5 seconds of magic. |

Just to add some potential book review ideas:
(i) Sleight Of Mind - I Harling & M Nyrup (ii) Easy Coins - Aldo Colombini (iii) Magic from the Overground - Paul Hallas (iv) Psychokinesis: Moving Objects With The Mind - Chazpro There you go.....4 recent'ish titles covering a wide range of close-up magic, prices of which are in line with most DVD's, that could make an interesting (and different) review.

I would like them to offer more specials on the products they review

King, do you mean sales? If so, I think that people would find their reviews less honest if every "good" item had a special attached to it. I think for integrity it makes sense to keep some things separate.

They have had sales on DVD's before if I can remember right.I think one sale was David Regal DVD's.
If you like a product they review do yo buy from Worldmagic Shop or do you Google for best price??? Also in the UK we have a credit crunch problem so it would be nice to see more offers.Maybe I will buy myself the money printing trick.Problem sorted. |
