Great Trick, its a close up illusion as I call it! Bought it new on ebay for $11, well worth it, would have paid $25 for it! ANyone else have it and like it?
If a magician is not intending to "trick" a spectator, why is every "trick" called a magic "trick"?

yeah this thing great. I have been playing with it forever and still love it. The only drawback is its angle problems.

The angles are not so bad. A great touch is to have a second spectator REST (not push) their finger on the little flap that closes over the dice. It will feel to the spectator that the dice is really melting through the mirror. Also it helps close the flap.

Do you have the original version created by Ali Bongo and sold through Cliff Lount's Bradford Magic Studio in England, or the rip off which is worse for angles?

Paul, do you know where can I purchase the Cliff Lount original on the web?

Correct Paul. Yes Ali Bongo created this effect and sadly it got ripped off.

It is available exclusively through Cliff Lount's Bradford Magic Studio, though he does not trade on the web. His address is;
Cliff Lount, 12 Nab Wood Crescent, Shipley BD18 4HX Yorkshire England Tel; 01274 593497 I think it is priced at £25 plus postage. Paul. |

Hello Paul,
I'm happy to see this post about it, it reminded me that I owned the original many years ago and lost it...intend to replace it! I don't know what you mean by angle problems? (I'm reffering to the one made by "Magic Makers") Aren't they both made the same way and size? Gerry Thoughts Have Wings |

No they are not made exactly the same, or at least, they weren't. There was also a terribly made Indian copy at one time. The ribbon was wider on the original.

I'll be ordering one! I recall the fun I had performing the effect years ago. It's a great trick!

I just replaced the one I had years ago.
From my recollection, it looks exactly the same as the one I had years ago. The quality is the same...very nicely made. Great price! It's one of the best close-up penetration effects around! Gerry Thoughts Have Wings |

I just got this effect last month and have been performing it for everyone I know since. It really is a small miracle in your hands. I especially like it because it is very different from so much of my other close-up material. Concerning the bad angles I only like to perform this effect for one or two people who are standing directly infront of me. I never use it when I am surrounded just in case.

Watched the demo of it and wasn't really to hard to figure out how it was done but presented right it could fool a lot of people.
