Hey Every one,
Looking for a little advice with some Halloween specific balloons. I've got 4 Halloween Parties coming up where I will only be performing balloon animals. All four parties are Halloween themed parties ranging from a 4 year old to a 10 year old. Any ideas for some good Halloween themed balloons and where I can get the recipes for them? From Easy to Advanced would be appreciated. One of the party host is pretty affluent and offered well over what I usually charge, so I'd like to do some more elaborate balloons for them. Thanks, David

What I do is purchase the Qualatex 5” faces and put these on a hitchhiker body. Kids go crazy for them and they are very easy to make. If you know any other body stlye you can add these to that too. You can also go to "Buster Balloon's" youtube site, he has some very nice designs there.

"Balloon Magic - The Magazine" has some Halloween themed balloons, in certain issues. Search for "Halloween" using the "Balloon Magic Index" search function on their site, and order those back issues.

Thanks guys, two excellent ideas that I'll take to heart. I signed up for the balloon magazine and was told I'll get my first issue at the end of the month, which should still give me time to practice. The 5" faces have been ordered!
Super advice guys, thanks a lot. David

There are a few halloween balloon videos on Buster Balloons Youtube channel. Shrunken Head, a little ghost, skeleton pirate, 3 eyed drooling monster hat, and a cute ooga booga spider.
http://www.youtube.com/user/BusterBalloon here! That should keep you going for a while. Hunt around on youtube and you will find stuff! Plus to your normal balloons models if you add bat wings or fangs/blood, do zombie eyes etc you can adapt what you have already. best wishes Danny |

There are a few Halloween balloon DVDs out there, too. One of the best is "Things That Go Pop in the Night," by Don Caldwell (now known as Buster Balloon.) You can get it at LaRock's.

Be sure to learn a spider, kids always ask for spiders. I think the one I use I got from Buster Balloon's YouTube site.

Twisting something that goes with their costume also works.

Years ago I used orange bee body balloons with a green tip. They had preprinted jack-o-lantern faces on them. One quick apple twist and you're done. The kids loved them. Does anyone know if they are still available?

Ralph Dewey has a wonderful little three-balloon ghost hat on Balloon HQ.

Hey Every one,
I just wanted to send out a huge Thank You for all the suggestions, help, and insight into my first Halloween doing balloons. We had tremendous success and have already booked several repeats for next year. I even ended up investing in a 10X10 Canopy for the 4 festivals we got booked for. I couldn't have done it without leaning on all the experience that was offered through the Café. Thanks again, and I will certainly help forward my experience, as little as it is, to the next person. Regards, David
