What in your experience is the best Orange Tree illusion?
Thanks,

Depends on what one wants it to do and how much one wants to spend.
I would be happy to answer any questions you have about my trees directly. Richard

I like "Sawing an Orange Tree in Half," "The Zig-Zag Orange Tree," and for the sleight of hand artist, "The Orange Tree Through the Table."
The Blooming Orange Tree is nice, too. Sorry, I just couldn't resist!

It could vanish in midair from under a cloth as an orange falls to floor.
Bill should I start working on one to sell you and add to your line of miracles. Heck you could use the orange in a cup for a finale load if you could find a cup someplace. Richard

If you can make a shell orange tree, that Orange Tree Through the Table isn't nearly as difficult as it may appear to be. You would need a table with an opaque, floor length drape, though.
BTW, on the serious side, Ali Bongo had a blooming bush that was very simple. The same principle could be used to make a blooming orange tree.

Drop me a regular email to tell me where to look on it. Is it in the Bongo Book?

I have been toying with the idea of making an Orange Tree. I was trying to find one for sale that accomplished what I wanted but have not. So, I have been looking at videos of various trees and noticed something that I need help/confirmation of. All if the modern trees seem to use the same basic principle. In looking at a video of the original Robert-Houdin effect - it appears that his method is very different. I don't want to tip it here but if there is anyone out there personally familiar with the original - I would appreciate an opportunity to talk to them to gain confirmation.

This is my version of the orange tree. (Just a test play)
This movie was edited to keep the secret of my method of "bill in orange" and "flying butterfly bill" sequence. Thanks! Keisuke Hanada (MAGUS) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNIODdThLxc |

Beautiful KH!! - there was also a builder Xavier Tapias who created an Orange Tree- he also has the blooming rose bush, Antonio Diavolo and the Fascinating Owl. Love the recreations.

Thank you! kellaroneil-san,
The orange tree made by Mr. Xavier Tapias is also beautiful! My orange tree is my original surrounded version. (Usually, the Orange tree cannot show the back side!) Seven fruits grow up included the back side. Also it can be done with traditional "butterfly end". (not surrounded) |

You are welcome KH, it's true presentation is the key, especially with these historical treasures.
