Hi all,
I've put the results of my 'pay what you think it's worth' experiment at my blog: http://johnholtmagic.wordpress.com/ Thanks to all who took part; I hope you enjoyed the material. John |

John,
There are a number of variables that you should consider, but I do not think you should give up. If I had conducted such an experiment, I would have contacted the participants and asked what they thought of the material. How will you know whether it is a comment on your own material, their reluctance to perhaps place a price on it that may be unfair, or other reasons you may have not considered. I did not participate because of time constraints - many of the same constraints that kept me inactive on The Café for a period of time. I hope you reconsider. Your blog entry seems to reveal that you are interpreting the lack of response as a negative. It COULD be that participants are still field testing the material? So perhaps it is none of my business, but maybe those of you who participated in John's experiment would be kind enough to PRIVATELY contact John and explain why you felt the material was worth nothing, or perhaps why you sent no payment at all? If ANYTHING I would offer that it would be a great HELP to John. Ahimsa, Vlad |
