So I use this vent mask, but it's a real pain to put on my volunteer. I have to adjust this and that and everyone's face is a different size. It takes me like a few minutes.

I noticed that Terry Fator has a mask that he just puts on in like 5 seconds. Does anyone know who makes his mask or can suggest a super easy to put on mask?

I have the problem, too. It's doubly difficult for me because I use two volunteers at the same time. I find the masks often slip during the routine and have to be re-adjusted. I think difficulty with the masks is one reason the MicMouth was so welcomed by by the vent community.

I believe Terry's mask uses a wielding helmet ajustable band. It has a knowb on the back that can be turned to tighten or loosen the head band.

Back when I briefly had and used a mask, I recall having the same problem. Besides having the adjustable knob, probably something else that helps with Terry's, that would help with other masks, on a welding helmet, there is a band or strap that goes over the top of the head, not just around the back of the head.
I think that would help a LOT with the masks. There's nothing to resist it from being pulled downward when your pulling on the string to open and close the mouth. Even on a mask with a cable, though I'm sure it's no where near as bad the masks that have the string, there's still has to be some downward pull from the cable, and just from vibration and movement of the jaw.
As for the mic mouth being the savior.....well, yes, you won't have to worry about adjusting that on a persons head or it pulling down, but right off I saw two issues that concerned me;
1. Having to hold it up in front of the person's mouth, if the routine has any kind of length to it, it seems that would get old. Of the few I've seen go up for sale, I know for one, that was the reason they decided to sell it.
2. People move and fig-it around, sometimes they may rock a little, they move their heads. So it means having to keep a constant eye on them, an almost undivided eye on them to keep the mic mouth positioned where it needs to be in front of their mouth.
Personally, I see the mic mouth for short, quick bits, and the mask for longer routines.

A "lobotomy" is a medical procedure to cut out the frontal lobe of a normal person, turning that person into a puppet maker.

This is quite different type of procedure, this is to staple both temples to attach a mask to a head

When I was building masks, I always gave the customer the option of how they wanted them to fasten on. Some people liked the velcro strap idea, but others felt it could get tangled with the volunteers (?) hair. Others liked the looped elastic that you could tighten on the side of the mask. I like the welders mask idea though.
