Chessman, Doug: Besides looking so nice, does the Buddha Box work any differently than a regular Okito box? I noticed on the Chazpro site that it says:
Quote:
The design of the Buddha Coin Boxes are not just for looks! The curved sides, as well as other design features, make a number of the standard Okito box moves a breeze. Does the shape make that much of a difference in handling? Thanks! Jim |

Jim, My experience so far is that it handles the same---same moves, same techniques---but feels smoother because of the curves. May improve time slightly because of the natural feel to it. And it's sure a purty thang!

It is pretty but if that is the only benefit then it wouldn’t really pay me to get one.
Thanks! Jim |

Geoff Latta definitely used an Okito box, Unfortunately I don't know any specifics of his. He has at least one move documented in Apocalypse.

What's the difference between the Buddha Boston Box and the magnetic Buddha Okito Box by Chazpro? The magnet?
For a few months now I've been researching this stuff and can not find an answer on the Café or the net. |

Hi Jim, Yeah, if you're happy with your Okito box, you don't need to buy a Buddha.

Hi guys!
I just like the design. And Jim, the turnover move is easy because of the curved sides. Plus Chuck Leach gave me these as a gift, so I guess that matters some. I did buy one years ago, and it was my favorite then. I had the Boston Box and the Slot Box then, and I used them regularly. I recommend anything by Chazpro! His stuff is unbeatable. Plus, you get great service! In fact, I think I may get the Boston and Slot Boxes again! The magnetic box I'm not familiar with. That one may be next as well! Thanks guys! Doug |

That's real easy! It's just like it sounds! The Boston box is a reg.Boston box! And the Magnetic box is a reg. Okito box with a magnetic in the bottom!

Milt Kort has a lot of nice coin box work in his book and of course in Bobo's Coin Magic.

I only Remember Two Boston box routines in Bobo's! One with a coin stuck in the bottom, And one with out!
