If you are talking about getting a company to sponsor your show there's some good basic information at:

http://www.performers.net/library/me-sponsor.html

The most important thing to consider when you pitch your show to a potential sponsor is to be clear about the benefits to the company. Sponsorship money typically comes out of an advertising budget, so be sure to address their marketing concerns. Like, how many people will you reach? How much publicity will you generate? Who will do the promotion?

Be sure to answer these questions in your proposal. A proposal doesn't have to be long, only a page or two, but it does have to be clear about the benefits.
