I am really loving iMessage!
As for iPad, so far the handiest has been the keyboard split feature. The newsstand (or whatever its called in English) is also really good. Though I am sure there's still a lot to discover!

Isn't iMessage just BBM lite?

After updating to iOS 5, is anybody else having the apparently widespread problem of their device's battery draining rapidly in a few hours, etc. when the device isn't even being used? Seems to be a common problem with NO apparent solution based on search results in the Apple forums. My iPhone 4 drained all the way to 0% overnight after having a full charge before going to bed. And, no, I don't have a lot of stuff running in the background, etc. The new iOS 5 update seems to have a bug in it that severely affects battery life. Hope they fix it!

The reported sudden battery drain after installing iOS 5 can be fixed by doing a "hard" restart of your device (i.e. holding down both the Home key and the switch on top of the device in the upper right-hand corner). This worked for me.
