"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

Harper is working to change compulsory ed or is he working to make compulsory ed less dumbed down? I'd be interested to know--I don't get to hear much about the ed policy discussions in Canada.

One more social studies failure, I'm afraid.

In Canada, education is a provincial responsibility. The federal government has no say whatsoever in educational curriculum.

If it's about some campaign to end compulsory education, it would be a first by the head of a Western country as far as I know. Having grown up with the bucolic words of AS Neill's SummerHill in my teenage head, I always wondered about a system that would provide non-compulsory education.

Ah I see. He's interesting that way. He cut funding to museums, foundations, etc. that promoted Canadian history. And now he's starting a bunch of new initiatives to celebrate certain events. Hard to say what he's up to, apart from manufacturing photo ops for his cabinet.

I appreciate your sarcasm, but we will have to agree to disagree here.
