Although I'm more of a coffee fan, I enjoy the occasional cup. My parents, however, love the stuff. So much so that they thought they might combine two of their passions- tea, and charity. So, even though they're both retired, they started a new company. 100% of the profits go to support CareNow, which helps support fundamental healthcare in rural Africa- a country where some are so poor, they don't even own clothes.
Anyway, their website just went live, so feel free to check it out: http://www.compassiontea.com/

Okay, I'll convert it to not-spam. How do you make your tea? Any particular type of pot, or do you use tea bags? We've discovered a french press works well for both coffee and tea.

I am a big fan of Yixing teapots. When time is a factor I just use a teacup and saucer though.
Oh, and at school I drink freeze dried powdered green tea in a bottle of water. Jackie Chan Xtra Green brand.

It's a nice retirement project, that's for sure.

Again, I apologize to those who consider this spam. My parents are working really hard on this project, and it's for a good cause, so I feel obligated to mention it. Some of their suppliers are from Ethiopia and hoping to support themselves and improve their community.
Check out some of the blooming flower teas- you can even use them as decorative potpourrie after you're done brewing them. Very cool, I'd never even heard of that before.
