I have used these for twenty years. I work great for most cups .

There is an REI store in the hood. I'll have to check them out.

Chalk bags are used by rock climbers to hold powdered chalk to dry their hands and aid their grip.

I thought these were made to stay open at the mouth, is that so? I've never actually handled one...

Yes, I think that's generally true of most bags I've seen.

You can get them on ebay. Cost is about 15 - 25 - seems a bit expensive but aren't your $300 cups worth it? They provide more protection than normal cloth bags. I've had one of these for 20 years. They hold Charlie Millers very well - Sherwoods and Mendozas fit as well. All the Prana bags I own have drawstrings and a little elastic loop that holds a wand nicely

I been rock climbing all summer and I have seen many of these chalk bags. Some of these chalk bags can accidently open on their own, so be careful in what you buy. Also, most chalk bags are just big enough to only hold a Chalk Ball and would not be big enough for 3 regular size cups. If you do find one that fits your cups, then be proud of what you have.

I have six of them - they work and DO NOT open accidently as they have a drawsting with a spring lock . There are plenty of bags that cups will fit - beeen using them for decades.

Just got back from REI in Charlotte, NC. Most of their chalk bags would not fit my cups, but I did find one that would work. The REI store that I went to did not have a big selection of chalk bags, so I was stuck with the few that they had. I got the Evolv brand chalk bag, copper color, and with a waist strap. The mouth of this bag uses a stretchy material that allows the bag to close around the cups. The mouth of the other bags were not stretchy material at all and could not be closed with the cups in the bag.
I am glad I took my cups with me to make sure I got what I needed. |

Those are nice looking bags. I use the bags that come with Nikon camera Lenses. Got the idea from Pete Biro, I think.

Yep, and you should have access at Nikon. My Paul Fox cups fit perfectly in a cool hard leather shoe shine kit. It opens sideways.
